I began my career as a music journalist, and have for years written about art and design; I also cover politics and sustainability. But I've also written on a diversity of topics: travel, food, guerilla theater, bluegrass music, carnivorous plants. As a reporter, I excel at getting inside my subject, writing about it from a fresh perspective.
